The Voiculescu entropy of canonical completely positive maps on higher-rank graph algebras is shown to coincide with the topological entropy of underlying classical subshifts. Exact values are obtained for higher rank Cuntz-Krieger algebras, generalising the result of Boca and Goldstein (Bull. London Math. Soc. 32 (2000), pp.345-352).
