Noncommutative Geometry and Operator Algebras

A three-day conference on noncommutative geometry and operator algebras will be held in the National University of Ireland, Cork from 29-31 May, 2003. A series of talks will be given by each of the two principal speakers:

Prof. Paul Baum (Pennsylvania State University)
The index of elliptic operators and K-theory for group C*-algebras

Prof. S.L. Woronowicz (Warsaw University)
Examples of locally compact quantum groups

There will be invited lectures by other participants.
