ODE with Weiss model

A more realistic model of magnetism is that put forward by Weiss. In this model a large number of identical monocrystals make up the magnet. Consider the following modification of model (3)

\begin{displaymath}
x'' + x' = A Sin(\sqrt{2} t) + b(\textsl{w}x(t) - 1/2)
\end{displaymath}

An applet allowing experimentation with parameters A, b range and number of relays (monocrystals), is given below. The nonlinearity used in the model above is one shown in section 3.4. The two pictures of the pendulums on the top show the behavior of the monocrystal pendulum in the magnetic field (black) and the pendulum without it (red). Graphs of pendulums positions versus time can be found at the bottom part of the applet.
