A more realistic model of magnetism is that put forward by Weiss.
In this model a large number of identical monocrystals make up the
magnet. Consider the following modification of model

An applet allowing experimentation with parameters A, b range and
number of relays (monocrystals), is given below. The nonlinearity
used in the model above is one shown in section 3.4. The
two pictures of the pendulums on the top show the behavior of the
monocrystal pendulum in the magnetic field (black) and the
pendulum without it (red). Graphs of pendulums positions versus
time can be found at the bottom part of the applet.
